Dreams

During the last five years of actively working on my dream, I’ve learned a simple lesson:

“Big dreams generate big resistance.”

This happens 100% of the time.

The size of your dream is directly related to the size of the audience that won’t like it.

Got a small dream, confined to the shadows of your heart? OK, expect very few people to have an issue with it. Got a big dream that lights up the sky? Expect a few flares of frustration from people in your life.

And this isn’t a bad thing.

In the same way it works with exercise, resistance makes your dream stronger. It strips away the fat and forces you to stretch beyond your comfort zone.

Got a big dream?

Big resistance is coming.

Get ready.

P.S. If you want to read the best book ever written on the concept of resistance, pick up a copy of Steven Pressfield’s The War of Art.
