Nothing is boring if you look at it the right way.

Please stop telling me that you are not creative.

Please stop telling me that your dream is not interesting.

Please stop telling me that what you’re passionate about is too boring for other people to care about.

Nothing is boring if you look at it the right way.

How do I know?

I saw this sticker.

It was on a port a potty on a pier in Panama City Beach. (I was 100% of the people taking a photo of the portable toilet, of this I am certain.) No one would ever argue that port a potties are particularly exciting. Save for moments of desperation, they are fairly boring items. Most people would never assume you could find a creative name for a port a potty company, but then most people are not the owners of “Porta Lisa.”

They refuse to believe that a boring product needs to be boring. They don’t even call it a port a potty. Their tagline is “Artful restrooms from people who care.”

Is it silly? Sure. Is it cheesy? Maybe. Is it goofy? Definitely. Is it boring? Nope.

Nothing is boring if you look at it the right way.

So stop telling me you are not creative, your dream is not interesting or your passion is too dull. I don’t know what dream you are chasing but I know this, it’s more exciting than port a potties.

I promise.

Very fancy! Makes the potty seem high “end.” Beats this one I saw at paintball course in rural NE. The shamrocks say “test your luck?”

Ha! Port -a-potty companies are actually pretty creative across the board… but this is one of the greater ones for sure. Adweek did a fun port-a-potty post a few years back highlighting names like “call-a-head,” “tanks a lot,” “tee pee,” and “doodie calls.”

Yes, I left the more graphic ones out intentionally.

So true! Perception is always everything. I hope to change my point of view a little more today.

And was it an artful restroom? Or was it a regular port-a-potty with a quirky sticker?

I was wondering the same thing!

I just looked it up. It’s actually super fancy! Not artful, but fancy…

AM/FM/CD Player? How long do they plan on people sitting in the potty? LOL Priceless and creative!

Love the concept, but I don’t think Lisa is looking at ME the right way. Kinda creepy. Hopefully the sticker is only on the outside of the unit.

They have to call an upscale model The Louvre, right?

I have been to some incredibly high-end porta potties (which I’m sure are also incredibly pricey to rent)…we’re talking fancy trailers with stone/tile flooring, carved cherrywood doors, high-end faucets and light fixtures! Way nicer than my own bathroom at home! Crazy, and someone took a boring, yucky thing, made it better and found a market for it.

When you can get over that thinking and focus on who you’re serving you make progress!
