(Today is a post from one of the new voices on the site, Casey Lewis!) hustle I hate traffic. Years ago I commuted 2 hours a day to and from work. It was a miserable experience. The toll roads in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area reach a max speed of 7mph during rush hour and were sadly the fastest route to and from the office for me. For the past 4 years I’ve purposefully worked less than 5 miles from my house, primarily to avoid the chaos that is the morning and afternoon commute. I’ve been my own boss and I vowed to never sit in that traffic again.

The answer is yes. Yes, chasing a dream will be scary. Yes, it will be risky. Yes, there will be fear. Yes, there will be doubt. Yes, other people won't understand it. Yes, sometimes you won't either. Yes, the odds will be stacked against you. Yes, you will want to quit. A lot. Yes,...

Have you ever had writer’s block? It’s the feeling of being out of words. The blank page is no longer a canvas to be danced upon with vocabulary and joy. It’s now a terrifying desert, devoid of adjectives and ideas, completely white and empty without an oasis in sight. How do you beat moments like that? Over the year I started to feel better from doing a variety of things to face my fears, took 5 rhythm dancing (awkward!) and even walked by myself around India. Since then my 2014 has been great. Instead of hoping each day would be great, my buddy Adam and I decided we would engineer a best day ever (BDE). Here’s how we went out about. Any time you have a good day, write out exactly which elements you really enjoyed about that day. A few examples:

If there's a better way than an Olivia Newton John reference to open a sponsored blog post, I don't know what it is. For the last few months, I've been sponsored by Infusionsoft. One of my favorite parts of using their software for help with sales...

I know some leaders who are very serious. With a grimace and a closed hand they carefully monitor the work they do and how others perceive them. When they make a mistake it is not a cause for laughter. It is a cause for correction. There is...

Imagine you're 19 years old. You're ranked #144 in the world in tennis. You're playing the #1 ranked played in the world. At Wimbledon. Think that might be a lot of pressure? Probably. So how do you break it? How do you burst that tight bubble of perfection that can often...
