Grind

Sometimes people tell me, “I don’t have enough money to chase a dream.”

They feel that there’s a certain amount of money they need before they can begin some sort of endeavor.

And so they wait.

Until this magical amount of money is acquired.

The problem is, you don’t need “enough money” to begin working on a dream.

Does it matter? Of course it does, eventually. And you should get your finances in shape. The book The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey was a huge help to Jenny and me.

But dreams don’t cost that much to get going. They might some day. Moving across country, publishing your own book, hiring an employee, these things take money, eventually.

Beginning a dream? That’s not expensive.

In fact, dreams only cost two things, time and grind.

Dreams demand our most valuable resource, time.

You have to get up early and stay up late. You have to throw hours and vacation days and weeks and years at your dream.

And then you have to grind.

You have to fail and try again.

You have to succeed and not get cocky.

You have to hustle and not care if the haters multiply like rabbits.

Time and grind.

That’s it.

Waiting on money?

Quit.

Life is too short to wait.
